INTRODUCTION:
  A. We live in an age of change
     1. Look at the ways of travel now compared to 30 to 50 years ago. We travel to space
         and walk in space
     2. Look at ways of earning a living - ways of communication
     3.Look at our present standard of living compared to 50 years ago
     4. Some change is good - some bad
  B. Some today would change the Gospel as well
      1. Some think it is not sufficient for modern man
      2. The problem is that modern man does not want to live by the standard of God's word
         the Gospel of Christ
  C. Human nature has not changed
      1. But religionist have changed the Gospel Mk 7:7,8
      2. Paul called it a perverted gospel Gal 1:6,7
  D. Human needs have not changed
      1. Needed salvation after the fall in the garden
      2. Man still needs salvation today Rom 3:23; 6:23
DISCUSSION:
  I. REASONS THE GOSPEL IS UNCHANGEABLE
      A. Change is forbidden Gal 1:6-9; Rom 1:16,17
      B. It is thoroughly adequate 2Tim 3:16,17
         1. It saved the Pentecostians Acts 2:37-41
         2. Saved the Corinthians 1Cor 15:1,2
         3. It will save every believer Mk 16:15,16
      C. Transforms the vilest of sinners into the purest
         1. Transformed Saul - chief of sinners 1Tim 1:15
         2. Changed the Corinthians 1Cor 6:9-11
         3. Power to save everyone Rom 1:16
      D. Sin has not and will not change Jas 1:13-15
         1. The form temptation comes in may change
         2. Sin still comes in one of these three areas: Lust of flesh, lust of the eyes or pride of life
      E. Gospel was once for all delivered Jude 3
  II. HOW SHALL ONE PREACH AN UNCHANGING GOSPEL?
      A. Preach the authority of Christ Matt 28:18-20
      B. Preach the church which Jesus promised and built Matt 16:18; Acts 2:47
      C. Preach the Gospel's terms of salvation
         1. Faith in Jesus as the Christ Jhn 8:24
         2. Repentance from sins Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30; Lk 13:3
         3. Confession of faith in Christ Matt 10:32,33; Rom 10:10
         4. Baptism into Christ for the remission of sins Mk 16:16; Acts 2:38; 1Pet 3:21

      D. Preach unity of the Spirit Eph 4:3
         1. Jesus prayed for this unity Jhn 17:20,21
         2. Paul begged for it 1Cor 1:10
         3. Plan given for it in Eph 4:1-6
      E. Preach God given work of the church Eph 4:12
      F. Preach holy living
         1. Be not conformed to the world Rom 12:1,2
         2. Deny ungodliness and worldly lust Tit 2:11,12
         3. Refrain tongue from evil 1Pet 3:10-12
         4. Keep unspotted from the world Jas 1:27
  III. CURSE PRONOUNCED ON ONES CHANGING GOSPEL
      A. ANATHAMA - the disfavor of God Gal 1:6-9
      B. Sever ourselves from God 2Jhn 9-11
CONCLUSION:
  A. Even though we live in an age of change we must never change the Gospel of Christ
  B. Men have tried and failed. The power of the Gospel remains the same today as it was on
     Pentecost
  C. In view of the fact that we will be cursed by God if we change the Gospel; should we not
     then accept;it, believe it, obey it and preach it as it is in truth the word of
     God 1Thess 2:13
